Northside Counselling Services is looking to add to our team of private practice clinicians.
We are looking for professional, independent contractors who are interested in providing individual, couples’, and/or family counselling to a wide range of clients with different counselling needs. Clinicians would be responsible for their own schedule set-up, which allows for flexibility in the days and number of hours each clinician would like to work. In our private practice agency, we function as a team to provide peer support and the benefit of our combined expertise to support our clients with the highest level of care.
We use a trauma-informed framework and various approaches to counselling such as solution-focused, cognitive-behavioural, and client-centred. Confidentiality is of the utmost importance and our focus is in providing holistic options to meet client needs. Northside Counselling values a collaborative approach with our clients and our clinicians.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Applicants MUST have either a Masters in Social Work or a Masters in Counselling Psychology
- Membership to either the New Brunswick Association of Social Workers, the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association, and/or the College of Counselling Therapists of New Brunswick is essential
- Professional liability insurance is required
- Criminal record check with vulnerable sector is required
Experience with different demographics of clients is a benefit. Bilingualism is an asset however it is not required. Self-motivated individuals will work well in our private practice agency as well as those with excellent interpersonal skills, assertiveness, compassion, and an ability to communicate effectively and respectfully.
