Kayla is a clinical counsellor with a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology, obtained from Yorkville University. She works primarily with individuals, both youths and adults, and enjoys providing guidance for people with questions around parenting, anxiety, depression, grief, stress, and interpersonal conflicts, both personal and professional. Her style of counselling is eclectic, holistic, and practical, gathering techniques from various therapies, as per the needs of each client. Military life, university pressures, church dynamics, and childcare settings are familiar to Kayla.
She holds the belief that being healthy is not limited to physical well-being, but includes an individual’s mental and emotional health as well. Although counselling can be an intimidating process at first, it is undertaken together – by client and therapist – with the purpose of empowering, enriching, and bettering the individual and their life. This is typically accomplished through talk therapy and the setting of attainable goals.
