Valerie Roy-Lang is a Clinical Social Worker offering services in both English and French to individuals, couples, and families. She also offers workshops and training on a variety of subjects. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work in 2004 from Université de Moncton and graduated from her Master’s degree in Social Work in 2013. She has experience in Child Protection, family violence, and mental health services.
Valerie is a member of the Association of Social Workers and is actively involved with the social work community by participating at various conferences and events, and is the Vice-President of the local Chapter in her region. She is also a volunteer and member of the New Brunswick Adoption Foundation.
Valerie’s counselling approach includes several therapies and are adapted to the client’s needs. These include the use of a Trauma Focused Approach, as well as Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Crisis Intervention, and Play Therapy. She offers services to help clients deal with a variety of issues including family violence and domestic abuse, sexual abuse, harassment, burnout, depression, trauma, self-esteem issues, anxiety, stress, anger management, family dynamics, and parenting strategies. She believes in increasing self-awareness and self-care, as well as guiding and empowering individuals so that they can lead happy and fulfilling lives.
